Our Founder
Jean Ferreira
Actor, Artist, Music Producer, and Founder of City Life Org and City Life Records. Jean was born in Brazil, grew up, and is based in Manhattan, he started his Music Career DJing at his 15-year-old party in 1989. After dedicating most of his life as a Professional Bodyboarder he retired from sports, founded his News Outlet City Life Org in March 2020, and founded his Record Label City Life Records in May 2023. Jean released his first original song "Manhattan" (feat. Jean Ferreira) in collaboration with City Life Org on May 2023 and released his first album "House of Jean" featuring 10 original songs on December 2023. Jean's currently working on his second album, he released a few songs already and plans to release the album by the end of 2024.
“I created, recorded, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered my debut album “House of Jean” from June to November 2023, and I released it in December 2023. “House of Jean” is a collection of my feelings and emotions during the year 2023, I was able to create one and sometimes two songs per month working hard on crafting the best music I could do, putting all my heart, soul, and every experience I lived in 2023. Most of my inspiration came from my community, the fashion shows, my nights out in New York City, my Brazilian Roots, and everything in between, everything inspired me to create the album, and everything inspires me to create music these days. Renowned Brazilian photographer Bruno Lemos shot the album cover on a beautiful evening in October on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, as the sun hit the building and reflected the light on me like a spotlight to create the perfect shot for my debut album.” - Jean Ferreira
